It’s been a busy month for knobs and locks at The Fixician - I’m on my sixth doorknob replacement, fixed a holey door, and even fitted locks to a wine cabinet to stop flatmates stealing the booze!
We all want chic, funky furniture.

This week I helped a client hang her own artwork.
Her South American-inspired masks, pulled out of storage and dusted, really livened up the house.

Gutters are an essential part of any home. Their purpose is to remove stormwater so your foundations are not sitting in it.
Unfortunately, they get blocked - everything that lands on the roof ends up in your gutter, so tennis and footballs, bird droppings, and of course flowers, leaves and sticks collect and decompose, forming a sludge that blocks rainwater.
When I left school one of my first jobs was as Visual Merchandiser for a large department store. It was artistic and I loved it, staying with the store for five years.
Every Christmas my team (The Display Team) was responsible for assembling Santa’s throne and all the decorations. You can imagine how busy it was, taking months of planning and putting together.
Summer is a great time to get things fixed around the home: the rain has gone, the light is good, and daylight stretches all the way into the evening – perfect conditions for home improvement. Plus, getting your home spruced before Christmas will look and feel great when visitors arrive.
